Education and Outreach

The goal of the Education and Outreach Program of the Hospice & Palliative Care of Network of Maryland is to provide health care professionals with information on palliative and end-of-life care to improve their ability to provide compassionate and effective care to patients facing life-limiting illness and their families.

This information may be presented in a range of modalities from person-to-person meetings, one to two-hour lectures or panel discussions, or  through seminars. Topics and programs are determined based on need through assessments by the Education Committee, the Board of Directors, or from feedback from member organizations. Written evaluations are used to determine how well programs meet the established objectives.  Evaluations are reviewed by the Education Committee and presented to the Board of Directors to prepare future programs.

See our Calendar of Events for a full listing of Educational Programs. Individual interested in presenting at one of our Educational Programs can contact Peggy Funk, Executive Director.
